My work is generally founded in the fundamental tenets of formal painting – chromatics, substrate, composition, dimensionality, and presentation.  I use these as starting points to create paintings, objects and installations with various references to art history, poetic ideas and loosely themed narratives. My practice is heavily based in material improvisation.
